A mouth watering Chinese cabbage side dish and my family's recipe from the tropical island of Mauritius!
Time: 20 minutes | Servings: 4 ⠀ INGREDIENTS
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 large Chinese cabbage (roughly chopped and washed) 1 red capsicum (seeded and roughly chopped) 2 cloves of garlic (finely chopped) 1 onion (finely chopped) 1 thumb size fresh ginger (finely chopped) 2 tablespoons black mustard seeds 1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper 1 chili (finely chopped) - optional 1 teaspoon cumin powder - optional
⠀ HOW TO MAKE IT 1. In a frying pan, heat the oil and lightly sauté the onion, garlic, and ginger 2. add all other ingredients, stir and mix well from time to time for about 10 minutes on medium heat until all soft
~ Coming from a Mauritian family, traditionally, we love to serve this with curry and rice!
